Before we continue, it’s important to know that the role of a father (Dad), and Mother (Mum), can never be compared, as both play a vital role in family and in the lives of children. So, this article is written for just debate purposes, and shouldn’t be used as a real point to compare a dad and a mum’s importance.
Most people vote mothers to be the best and of great importance, owing to how much work they do in caring for the children, ensuring that there is food at home for the family to eat, and other duties they do, but the fathers also do theirs in a different way, but this article will be in favour of the mothers for the seek of those proposing the motion of “Mothers are better than Fathers”.

Why Mothers Are Better Than Fathers
Below are some solid points to counter your opinion on the importance of mothers or why mothers are more important in a family and in the life of children.
1. Mothers Are Over Caring
Yes, I chose to use the phrase “Caring” to describe the excessive love of mothers towards their children and families. Every mum gives her best in caring for both the dad and kids, which is something unique about mothers and has made them more important because no one cares more than they do.
Mothers are more important than fathers because of their caring nature, how they carry their family’s interest first in heart, over theirs, is something worth appreciating.

2. A Mum is a Child First Love Experience
Carrying a baby in the womb for months before delivering, and also caring for that unborn baby even when not seen, is an atom of pure love that shouldn’t be ignored. That first love a child experiences even without being born, is the love of a mother, which comes with the stress of pregnancy, the pains of delivery and the joy of successful delivery.
After delivery, the mum’s love continues over the child, as she stays awake all night to ensure that the baby is sleeping in good comfort and health. Also making sure that whenever the baby cries, she satisfies the need immediately, which first love beats this kind of love?
3. Mothers Are Very Supportive
There’s no doubt that mothers are very important in every family, as they help support the growth of the family. The majority of good support rendered in a family and children’s lives comes from mothers, which makes them more important than fathers.
A mother is always available to cheer up the father and support him in what he does to ensure the family is doing great, and they also make themselves available for their kids, to support their career choices, and ensure they make a better future.
4. Mum Understands the Need of a Child
How mothers easily understand the needs of a child, and try to solve them, makes them the best. Most times, fathers just go out for daily duties and have less or zero knowledge of what a child needs at a particular time because they are not always with that child, but a mother stays around and understands her child, and makes sure the child is always happy and satisfied.

5. Mothers are Strong and Versatile
Yes, mothers are more important than fathers because of their strong nature and versatility as there is almost nothing a mother cannot do, just like the popular saying, “What a Man Can Do, A Woman Can Do More Better”.
When it comes to caring, a mother does it better. When it comes to providing for the family, mothers do it better. Should it be supporting, or showing love? All mothers are versatile in everything, which makes them so important.
6. Mothers are Understanding
Mothers understand situations and try to mend things well. When a child does things they shouldn’t, a mother tries to understand what lends to such behaviour and tries to correct it so it doesn’t occur again.
When there is no provision of food from the Father, a mother understands what might have caused it, and tries to make provisions to help the man, so mothers, in general, are understanding in various circumstances.

7. Mothers Care More for the Healthiness of the Children
The warfare and healthiness of children are cared for more by the mothers, which is another bigger importance of the mum in a family. Most times the fathers are not usually home, to know how the children are doing, and some dads do return late from work and go out early due to nature or their job, so most times, they have less time to spend with their kids to know what bothers them, but the mothers are always there for them.
8. Your Best Friend is Your Mother
You will agree with me that a child’s best friend is the mother, as she is always there with him or her from the first day of birth, till he/she grows up. A mother is there to listen to your problems and find solutions to them so you can be happy.

9. Mothers Are Good Listeners and Problem Solvers
You will agree with me that all mothers give listening ears and time to their children, they try to understand them and offer solutions to their problems. Every mother wants to see her child happy, and successful, which makes them the best in offering support in every aspect they can.
10. Mothers Sacrifice Alot
Lastly, mothers are better than fathers because of the sacrifices they offer to ensure that their family is the best. Every mum makes a unique sacrifice of care, time, energy, effort and many more, just to ensure that their home is in peace, unity and progress, nothing beats this unique love of mothers.
